Last Tuckshop Day for 2009 - 24 November

The last day for Tuckshop for this term is Friday 4 December. Many thanks to the volunteers who have helped during the year. First Tuckshop day for 2010 will be Thursday 28th January. Wishing you all a Happy Holiday and a great New Year.


Booklist Orders Due Tuesday - 23 November

Booklist Orders for 2010 are due by 9am Tuesday morning, 24 November. Alternatively order online at Browns Books and Stationery. Payment is required on delivery.Delivery will occur on Friday 4 December.

Don't forget when you collect your school books please use the opportunity to pay the 2010 school voluntary contribution. Your support helps the P & C purchase items on the priority list like books, music, sports and classroom equipment plus much much more. The P & C cannot purchase these items without your support. The contribution is $25 per child or if you have three or more $70. You can elect for the monies to be paid to the general account or it could go towards our exciting new hall, which is tax deductible. We have many items to fund for the hall, such as chairs, storage module, lighting, sound and many more items. Thanks for your support.


2010 Uniform Shop Hours Before School Resumes - 23 November

The Uniform Shop will be open the week before school starts in 2010. It will be open on Thursday 21 January and Friday 22 January from 1-3pm.


Ravensbourne Trip- Year 3 - 18 November

This term Year 3 visited Ravensbourne National Park to look at rainforests. The day conducted by staff at the Amaroo Environmental Centre was a great learning experience for students as they learnt about the animals and plants in one of our local national parks. The students engaged in a bushwalk as well as sensory activities.




Changes to Week 8 (23-27) Nov Swimming - 16 November

As teachers are involved in Unit Planning for 2010 some changes have been made to PE swimming lesson times for Week 8 (23-27 November). Please see the timetable for the changes.


Salvation Army Concert - 20 October

Salvation army Concert in H Block Oct 09 The concert was held in H Block this morning. We're sure that all concerned would have found it an enjoyable experience. Thank you to all of the musicians who spent extra time and rehearsals preparing their band and individual items. We are very proud of their efforts! Keep up the good work in preparation for the Musical Evening next month.



Year 7 Sydney- Canberra Trip - 17 October

Year 7 Sydney trip On Saturday, 17 October, our Year 7's returned from a fantastic week long trip to Canberra and Sydney. Along the way they visted Parliament House, Yarralumla, Telstra Tower, Questacon Science Centre, the Australian War Memorial and the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra. In Sydney they visited historical displays on convict life in Old Sydney and Taronga Park Zoo. To see some more of the fun check out the Year 7 Trip Photo Page.


Year 4D Museum - 17 September

school photo from 17 Sept 09 On Thursday 17 September, Year 4D created a museum in their classroom to show what they had learnt this term about the history of Toowoomba and the Darling Downs. Students set up photo displays, samples of their own work, artefacts from the old days, timelines and Powerpoint displays on their computers. Refreshments were provided for parents and staff and each class member took on a role either as tour guide, an assistant with a display or as a caterer. Well done 4D. What a great way to learn!

Triennial School Review Completed - 15 September

Verification of the school's Triennial School Review took place last week with staff, students and a representative of District Office. This process went very well, thanks to the staff and students for their efforts on the panel and during the Diagnostic Inventory.

Child Protection Week Pantomime - 8 September

On Tuesday 8 September, our students in Years 1-3 visited the St Saviour's Hall to view a Child Protection Week pantomime. Actors in the pantomime were local police and support workers. Children from grades 1 ,2 and 3 learnt about feeling safe and staying safe in a fun and interesting way. Early warning signs of feeling unsafe were discussed with the children. Students were encouraged to discuss such feelings with one of five trusted adults on their Safety Hand.
